Ice swimming

In accordance with the operating agreement with the city of Akaa, the Arajärven Maja winter season will begin on November 1, 2025 and end on March 31, 2026. In September and October, the sauna will also heat up every Wednesday and Sunday from 3-8 p.m. Private sauna shifts in our area's wooden saunas start at 50€/2h.

Winter sauna days are on Wednesdays and Sundays. Winter swimmers heat the sauna themselves and carry water from the lake to the sauna. Arajärven Maja will ensure that there is enough firewood and the sauna is clean throughout the winter season. Various themed saunas and event days are planned for the winter season. Information about these will be provided on Arajärven Maja's social media channels, which anyone interested in winter swimming and winter saunas should follow.
